Chris Behrens tied for the Silver Medal in the 2015 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award in the Juvenile Fiction – Early Reader / 1st Chapter Books Category for his book chapter book titled Savanna’s Treasure. Here is the link to see the rest of the winning books.
Children and adults from coast to coast are having their hearts and minds captured by Shamba and Kali – two very different animals whose unlikely friendship can fight the dangers of the world around them.

Chris is currently working on two new books.
Louise C. Bergeron signed a four books series deal with Les éditions Foulire, the first two scheduled to hit the bookshelves in January 2016. While working as an illustrator, her dream was to see her own books published. The idea sprung up over five years ago and finally she decided to submit her manuscript to Les éditions Foulire from Québec city (www.foulire.com). She had the pleasure to work with them for a few years with her illustrations. After reviewing her submission, the publisher helped her adapt her 5000+ word story into a second grader, mini illustrated novel instead. The books are published in French.
The stories revolve around Émilien, a little boy who has no siblings but plenty of odd aunts, with whom he enjoys spending time.
First one: Aunt Violinette is the one that has a secret: when she plays her violin, she grows wings and flies off. But she still will need her nephew’s help to rescue her cats from high up in the tree.
Second: Aunt Maggie-Noire is the witch of the family. But a nice witch, really. She wants to sell her bewitched chocolates to the local fair. But she needs someone willing to show off the effects of the spells to the would-be clientele. Émilien must be convinced to taste every one of those chocolates and show off the weird effects: bubble bath nose, rabbit ears, porcupine hair…
