ELIZABETH BENNETT AGENT AT TRANSATLANTIC AGENCY

LOOKING FOR:

Picture books, board books, novelty, graphic novels, middle grade and YA.

Elizabeth Bennett has spent her career in the children’s publishing industry with positions in marketing, product development and editorial at such companies as Scholastic, Reader’s Digest and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Prior to joining the Transatlantic Agency, she was an Executive Editor at HMH where she focused on brand-forward publishing around classic properties like Curious GeorgeLittle Blue Truck and The Little Prince as well as novelties, board books and picture books. During her tenure she established an IP program launching several middle grade series including The Next Best Junior ChefSurvivor Diaries, and Junior Ninja Champion.

As an agent, she has represent a balanced list of talented picture book, graphic novel, middle grade and YA authors and illustrators. She loves books that pull at the heart strings, makes her laugh, makes her think, makes her smile; and especially books that make even a reluctant reader want to curl up in a nook and read.

Submissions:

She is currently open to submissions. Please use the following link to submit queries: https://querymanager.com/query/ElizabethBennett

PLEASE NOTE: During the time I researched this and today. Elizabeth has closed for submissions. If you were interested in her, I would set a reminder to keep an eye on when she opens again.

Elizabeth is interested in middle grade and YA fiction and graphic novels at all age levels. She’s particularly looking for a great YA rom com. She tends to be partial to books with humor; books that approach contemporary issues in a fresh, new way; books that are inspired by pop-culture and current trends.

  3. I shared this with a friend of mine who went to the Query Tracker link and discovered that it says Elizabeth was currently closed to submissions. Did she forget to open up for this post or has she filled up again already? Thanks.

    • Teresa,

No, I made a note that I schedule these a few weeks ahead of time and she closed after that time and I didn’t check before it posted. I always check the website before, which says she is still open to submissions, but forgot to try to query. I would keep an eye on this, since I think she will probably open up when she catches up with things.
