BookEnds Literary has launched a children’s division, BookEnds, Jr.

At Bloomsbury Children’s,  Sarah Shumway moves up to executive editor; Claire Stetzer is now assistant editor.

at Little, Brown Children’s: Deirdre Jones moves up to senior editor, as Nikki Garcia and Daniella Valladares are both promoted to associate editor;

Michael Green is leaving his position as president and publisher of Philomel on March 16 to focus on his own writing. He has been with Penguin for 27 years.

Kevin Lewis has joined Erin Murphy Literary Agency as agent, focusing on writer-illustrators and on diverse voices. Previously he was an editor at Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, and Disney.

Carrie Pestritto has joined Laura Dail Literary Agency as an agent. Previously she was an agent at Prospect Agency.

At Chronicle, Mirabelle Korn has been promoted to associate editor, art.

Jill Schwartzman, vp and executive editor at Dutton, will take on the additional role of editorial director of Plume.
