golden-sonI thought I would share what Pierce Brown wrote in the acknowledgements at the end of Golden Son. I think we can all relate to what he wrote.

“Writing is a lonely quest at times. You lose the path, You take the mountain pass only to realize you’ve made a mistake and must double back through a more treacherous route. Often there’s no wizard to guide you. Ni signposts except those you conjure. Everything is up to you, and that can be daunting, at least for me. But though my friends and family may not be able to guide the story, they carry me with their love and friendship.”

Golden Son is the second book in the Red Rising series. Usually the second in a series is not as good as the first, but this book far exceeds the first IMO. Worth reading the first to get to the second.
