Liz Amini-Holmes was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she wanted be an archeologist, a paranormal researcher, an astronaut but most of all she wanted to be a detective with Scotland Yard. However, she decided working as an artist was way more fun than any of those jobs and required a lot less math. Liz has a BFA in Illustration from Academy of Art University and University of San Francisco.
She is an award winning artist and her work ranges from poster design, book illustration, editorial illustration, to apparel design, art direction, advertising, merchandising, and multimedia. She is proficient in multiple forms of traditional media as well as digital tools.
Her paintings and prints have been exhibited and sold at various galleries and private events in the San Francisco Bay Area and she is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), San Francisco Society of Illustrators and The Graphic Artist Guild.
In her spare time she reads lots and lots of books, writes fiction, cooks up new recipes and get into mischief with her two boys.
Liz had to deal with a family emergency and could not get the process pictures and interview questions answered. I know you will enjoy seeing her illustrations, now, and I will add the interview and her process description when she can send them in.
