    • If you look at 45 and over, we are almost as high as the total teens. If you combine everyone over 30 years old, we almost make up half of the market. I’d say that is pretty good. Anyone who picks up a YA novel will immediately see the quality of what is being published. I love them.

The MG novels are great, too. I used to say they were perfect for the busy person, since you could read something good in a short amount of time. Kind of like having a really good gourmet dinner that you can cook in the microwave.

  2. …and though some VERY ignorant, arrogant and snobbish people think adults should be embarrassed to read YA and kidlit, I’m proud 😀

    • Carol,

I found so much interesting stats when I did my research. Glad you thought they were interesting, too.

  5. Donna,

The word needs to spread. Lots of people think when you say you write for children, that you are only writing for kids up to 8 years old. So who know what they are thinking when they hear YA. I think they are thinking little kids, too. That is why they are so shocked when they finally read about one.
