More Kudos – Interview – Winner – Vote

This Hanukkah in the City Print and card was sent in by Michelle Kogan available in her Etsy shop – Michelle is illustrator/painter/instructor and writer from the Chicago area. Here is her website:

Annie Silvestro photoThis is a story of the importance of getting yourself out there, talking to industry people, and making connections. Annie Silvestro met agent Liza Voges of Eden Street LLC at the New Jersey Craft Day in November. She sat at Liza’s dinner table on Saturday night and had a wonderful time talking with her. At the end Liza gave Annie her card and Annie submitted her work the following day. The next week Liza called her and offered to represent her based on the two picture book manuscripts Annie submitted. Congratulations, Annie! This is wonderful news.

I also received more wonderful news from K’Tai Chimurega (E.B Lewis’s cousin) was offered representation by Barbara Markowitz Literary Agency in California for his young adult novel. K’Tai has been working on this book for a number of years and has taken the time to listen, learn, and revise, which is a good lesson for everyone to run with and copy. You may remember K’Tai from the NJSCBW conferences. He is the big strong guy who saved my back carrying all the heavy boxes. Congratulations, K’Tai! This is great

Another Kathy Temean Interveiw: You might want to visit Darlene Beck Jacobson’s blog and read the interview she did with me. She has some good questions that weren’t asked before.

If you didn’t visit on Friday, here is the information about voting for the Top 10 Writers Blogs. I am hoping you will help out by going to the link below and leaving a note about my blog in the comment section. Remember you need to give the blog address.
