Meet R.L. Stine and Michael Buckley

One of the best things you can do for a child is to take them to a book store to meet an author, buy their book, let them see a real author in action, hear them read their book, and get to talk to them. And adults love to meet the authors, too. This week the people who live in the NJ, NY, PA area have the opportunity to meet two great authors at the Clinton Book Shop.

Spend An Evening With The Writer Who Defined A Genre.

R.L. STINE

Reading from and signing copies of his first adult novel.

Author R.L. Stine who is coming to the Clinton Book Shop this Wednesday 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM to promote his new adult book, Red Rain.

R.L. Stine, New York Times bestselling author of the Goosebumps and Fear Street series—two of the bestselling children’s book series of all time—now sets his sights on adults with a terrifying new horror novel centered on a town in the grip of a sinister revolt.

The store is using a ticket system so anyone who wants to attend should call the store for information/ticket. All attendees are required to purchase the book to meet R.L. to get it signed.

For the millions of readers who grew up on Goosebumps, and for every fan of deviously inventive horror, this is a must-read from a beloved master of the genre.

On October 19th Michael Buckley will be reading and signing his his very first picture-book for young readers and soon to be readers from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

From Michael Buckley, the bestselling author of the Sisters Grimm and NERDS series, and Dan Santat, author-illustrator of Sidekicks, comes this hilarious picture book starring Kel Gilligan (a.k.a. “The Boy Without Fear”) that encourages kids to laugh at their fears and celebrates the bravery it takes to try new things no matter how ordinary. Narrated by Kel himself as he attempts his “stunts” with Evel Knievel–like flair, the story unfolds as a performance in which readers themselves become part of the audience, encouraging Kel to get dressed all by himself (without a net!), eat new foods like broccoli (eww!), and take a bath (gasp!). Bold, interactive, and downright silly, this is a book to make kids cheer and attempt some “stunts” of their own.
