Her most recent clients are Sleeping Bear Press, Albert Whitman & Co., and American Girl. Besides illustrating, Doris teaches watercolor to beginners and professionals at her studio near Hampton, NJ.

NJ SCBWI has joined up with Samantha Gale at the Somerset County Library in Bridgewater, NJ, to offer a free mix ‘n’ mingle evening. This event will highlight the SCBWI organization and offer networking tips ‘n’ tricks for newcomers as well as established members. From conferences and workshops to social media, find ways to network no matter what your comfort zone. Samantha will also talk briefly about NaNoWriMo and preparing for this year’s writing marathon.

Yes, I was curious about the prices, too. It’s just Craft Day that’s typically free, right? Then you pay for dinner and the stuff on Sunday? That’s how I remember it, but I’m not trusting MY memory! lol
