Alert! Change of Location! Plus New First Page Date Announced

Please cross off the Wyndham Hotel for the September 20th First Page Session.  It has been moved to our previous location at the Princeton Theological Seminary.

We will meet on Tuesday at 4 pm in the private dining room in the MacKay Campus.  Center.  Dinner will follow with our two editors.  This event is full.

We will finish the year with a First Page Session on November 15th at the Princeton Theological Seminary.  I am very pleased to announce that for the first time we have an editor from Clarion Books joining us.

Daniel Nayeri is an editor of picture books, novels, and graphic novels at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and the author of STRAW HOUSE, WOOD HOUSE, BRICK HOUSE, BLOW, published by Candlewick Press. Before that he worked as a professional pastry chef and a stuntman.

Navah Wolfe, Assistant Editor from Simon and Schuster Books for Young Readers will also join us on November 15th.

It will be nice to see Navah again.  She did a great job at one of our First Page Sessions a few years back.  This event will be a great way to end the year and get ready to come out running in 2012.

Navah joined Simon & Schuster in 2007. She is the editor of Chaucer’s First Winter by Stephen Krensky, illustrated by Henry Cole, which appeared in Cheerios boxes
across the country, as well as several upcoming titles, including Death Watch by Ari Berk, The Unnaturalists by Tiffany Trent, and Linked by Imogen Howson. She was on the editorial team for titles such as the Printz Honor-winning The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey, Jonathan Maberry’s Rot & Ruin series, and Margaret Peterson Haddix’s The Missing series.

Navah seeks strong middle grade and teen novels with compelling characters and fresh voices, as well as engaging commercial picture books. She is especially interested in YA and middle grade science fiction and fantasy.
