From Betsy:
Hello! For those of you who are finding time to write, congratulations! For those people who are successfully finding places to put this never-ending snow, please share your secret.
Our house is encased in ice and snow, and while I write, there is the constant drip, drip, drip of water leaking from our about-to-cave-in roof.
A sense of humor is necessary these days, especially with winter still going strong.
Remember, don’t let the snow keep you from writing! Yes, I know you have to shovel, but . . .
And now for this week’s prompt. Look at the picture of the plane, and then write a one-page response. Start with the following: ________ waited for_________
Here are questions to consider:
- Is your mc going onto the plane or are they waiting for someone to disembark?
- If they are waiting for someone, who is it?
- If they are going somewhere on the plane, where are they going to?
- Are they afraid to fly or afraid to see who is getting off the plane?
- How long have they been waiting at the airport?
- How long has the plane been parked?
- Are they with anyone else?
Have fun and write happy! Recently, a ten-year-old girl sent me her first page based on one of the January prompts. Look for her story this weekend. If she can do it, so can you! http://betsydevany.wordpress.com/2011/02/04/free-fall-friday-january-recap
Talk tomorrow,
Kathy
